more fun

I found 11 letterboxes and hitchhikers in all. One was a new plant that we were the second finders of. Here's a picture of me with all the logbooks, etc. It was really cold here and one of the kids let me warm up in one of his gloves. The Treats in Wenatchee said they really liked having me visit!

hiking and boxing

We hiked up to a great view point in Wenatchee called Saddlerock. The view is fantastic. Here's a picture of me enjoying the view. We also went to a nearby bavarian themed village called Leavenworth where the Christmas lights and displays are really beautiful. It was so cold! I heard they are hoping to get snow this weekend!

Getting a Christmas Tree

I arrived in Wenatchee Washington in early December, just in time to help find and cut a Christmas Tree. We went out into the woods and searched around for a great tree. They told me that this is the first year ever that there wasn't a few feet of snow to trek through!

Popping in

Just wasted to drop a note and say all is well over here. It was decided that I would stay hole last friday which was a good thing as the hike was about 6 miles. I did get to go boxing yesterday and caught the black panther, that was REALLY cool. I have logged everything in so check it out.

Guess what I did...

Can you see me....I got to plant a box today and write the clue for it.

Today I went to Jones Gap State Park. We spent a few hours there looking for boxes. We did get a chance to rest by the river and take a break for a few minutes, then we were back on the trail.
Here I am sitting on a ledge of a LARGE rock looking for some box called "the gypsy". I am told that this is a very hard box to find as it travels all over.

We didn't find that box but we got 7 in all. I may go back out tomorrow...there is talk about it.

Hi everybody. Today I want to a park to look for some boxes...we didn't find them but I had fun anyway.

After the park, we stoped for some ice cream and can you believe the size of this scoop!!!

I am having a good time here and learning a lot about my host family. Next friday I get to go on a hike in the mountains with a lot of other boxers, they are calling it something like "mom's morning out". Not really sure what it means but I get to go.

Hi from South Carolina....just wanted to let all know that I made it here safe and sound and I am looking forward to my time here. It has been a long day so I am going to bed.

Kirby

Kirby the Koala is leaving very soon.. :(

The gang and Kirby have had a great time together! We have been through many adventures, and now it is time to say goodbye. We loved having Kirby with us, to take to Disney World, and many other areas in Florida! It was great!

Animal Kingdom

Disney's Animal Kingdom was the best! We went on every single ride! :) Kirby really enjoyed The Seas With Nemo and Friends :The Musical. "In our big blue world.., where everything...is too see!" It was so cute! We also got to see Kilimanjaro Safaris which was the best. We saw big giraffes baby's, hippos, antelopes, elephants, and more! Unfortunately the Lion wasn't outside at the time. (Probally snoozing).. :D Kirby really enjoyed The Tree Of Life, Dinosaur and The Festival Of The Lion King! It was so beautiful! So many voices and it just touched you!

But the best parade here was Mickey's Jammin Jungle Parade!

Hollywood Studios

Hollywood Studios was pretty fun! We all went on The Twilight Zone Tower Of Terror! A 13 story drop! It was so fun.. and a little scary. The best part was the great animation. I can see that is the Magic Of Disney:)
We also got see a little bit of the parade "Block Party Bash". We saw characters from Bugs Life, The Incredibles and Monsters Inc. So cute. We also got to ride more rides and go shopping at places such as The Great Movie Ride, Muppet Vision 3D and Star Tours.

Magic Kingdom

At Magic Kingdom, Kirby and the gang got to go on all the rides! which includes :Dumbo The Flying Elephant, Aladdin's Magic Carpet, Mickey's Phillar Magic, The Many Adventures of Winnie The Pooh, The Haunted Mansion and More!

We also came to Magic Kingdom at just the right time during the Disney's Dream Come True Parade. And We also stayed for Extra Magic Hours to see the Castle-(to go inside), and to see the Spectro Magic Light Parade!

Epcot

Kirby had a great time at Epcot. She got to ride many rides including, Soarin,( she loved the view), Test Track, Mission Space, Living With The Land, Spaceship Earth, Ellen's Energy Adventure, and more!

Kirby especially enjoyed The World Showcase! We didn't get a chance to get to all of the countries, but we made it to Mexico, Norway, and China.

Kirby Gets some excersise

Today, Kirby went to the Westlake Recreation Center to find a letterbox! The box is named: "Mickey Mouse", and is by Team Double A . He enjoyed the view and loved all the trees!

Kirby Get's Her Beauty Rest

Kirby is currently sleeping- and plans on sleeping more-except when letterboxing! She plans on looking very pretty when she meets Mickey Mouse. She also can't wait to find boxes along the way! She also wants to stay up for 2 days while we drive to Florida!

Kirby has arrived in Ohio!

Kirby the Koala has arrived safely in Ohio. My family and I are so excited that she is here! We are getting ready to take Kirby to "The Most Magical Place on Earth!" Check back for an update on Kirby.

I'm all packed and ready to go :) I should arrive in Ohio in a few days to visit LeafEater. I'm sure they will take good care of me while I'm there.

It sounds like I will be pretty busy while I'm there. Can't wait to get there, I hear that I'm going to Disney with them :)

Kirby just about ready to travel!

Kirby is getting herself ready to travel to Cleveland, OH on her first adventure!

She's packing her stuff, making final adjustments to her logbook, making sure her signature stamp is ready to go (oops, think we need to make a little felt pouch for it yet, better check on that)...then she will be ready to go.
